The Designers’ Consortium is not only supported by its dedicated staff, but also by state of the art equipment.

SURVEY EQUIPMENTS

The Designers’ Consortium has been carrying out extensive Geodetic, Cadastral and Topographic Surveys in India for Land Development, infrastructure development and other engineering activities. The Designers’ Consortium has a full fledged Survey Division equipped with complete range of State-of-the-art survey equipment, cartographic and GIS Software, and manned by highly qualified and experienced personnel. The following is a list of some such equipment available with The Designers’ Consortium.

The Survey Division has the full capability in establishing precise control points using GPS receivers in differential mode auto levels and collection of topographical data using stations, generation of most accurate digital terrain models and digital data on any desired format ready for use in computer aided design on mapping software, resulting in project execution in the shortest possible time with accuracy.

 

LABORATORY FACILITY

SOIL / MATERIAL / GEO-TECHNICAL TESTING EQUIPMENT’S

The Designers’ Consortium has been carrying out extensive Soil, Geo-Technical, Sub Soil & Material Testing / Investigation for land development, infrastructure development and other engineering activities. The Designers’ Consortium has a full-fledged Investigation Division equipped with complete range of State-of-the-art testing equipment and manned by highly qualified and experienced personnel, where soil tests like CBR, Modified Proctor Density, Sieve Analysis etc. are being carried out. The following is a list of some such equipment available with The Designers’ Consortium.

DESIGN AND DRAFTING PROGRAMS

AUTOCAD Release 2010

After conceptualization, designs are developed with the help of “AUTOCAD” and the drafting & rendering part of the design are carried out with various programs like - AUTOCAD Release 2010 with AME / ADE / AC /AD Simulator, 3D Studio Rel. 3.0, Animator Studio, Animator Pro.

For preparation of contour maps, Site Plan AUTO CIVIL 3D is used.

STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS PROGRAMS

STAAD PRO -2000

Structural Analysis and Design (STAAD PRO 2000 ) has been developed by Research Engineers Inc., (REI) of Orange, CA, USA. The analysis part is based on FEM. The design part of the package is used for the design o steel, concrete and timber structures satisfying various National and International codal requirements. Graphics facilities at the pre and post-processor stages are being used for easier checking and interpretation of data.

 

Programs for structural Design of Bridges & other Structures

> Design of well foundations / open foundation in cohesive, cohesionless and rocky strata.

> Analysis of raft type foundations as plate on elastic supports.

> Design of retaining walls.

> Computation of live load bending moments and shear forces at any  location of a simply  supported  bridge deck for IRC loadings.

> Analysis of single pile and pile  groups embedded in soil.

> Analysis of 2D plate / deck structures as grillage by matrix method.

> Transverse analysis and design of untensioned reinforcement for RCC & PSC box girder using P-8 curves.

> Analysis of 2D & 3D frames and trusses for any type of loading by matrix method and finite element method.

> Generation of influence line ordinate for bending moments and shear forces for continuous superstructure.

> Design of circular, annular and rectangular section subjected to axial force and longitudinal biaxial bending.

> Preprocessor (generation) programs for orthogonal and skew grillage meshes.

> Analysis and design of RCC box girder bridge superstructure for IRC loadings.
